Our story

The conviction Favor was born from.

A short history. The founding prayer. The fourteen nations the work has reached so far.

The early years.

Favor began with a prayer over northern Uganda during a season of civil war. A small US team made a sustained commitment to the villages no other ministry was reaching. The work started with one Portable Bible School. It grew into four pillars — Evangelism + Discipleship, Education, Community Development, and Economic Empowerment — because the field kept asking for the next thing.

The expansion.

Within a decade, Favor was operating across South Sudan, Chad, Ethiopia, DRC, Kenya, Sudan, and Burundi. Each field team is led by indigenous leaders. US staff act as long-term partners and donor-care liaisons, not field directors.

Today.

Favor International runs 18 Village Learning Centers, six accredited schools, four field clinics, three GIFT Institute cohorts a year, and a continuous PBS rotation across fourteen nations. None of that is possible without Favor Partners.
