Everything Favor does begins in prayer. Before a school opens, a crusade gathers, or a missionary is sent, our teams take it to God first. Stand in the gap with them.
Why we pray first
Favor is a house of prayer before it is anything else.
Prayer is not the warm-up before the real work. It is the work, and everything else follows from it.
Before a missionary is sent, before a school opens, before a team drives into a region that has been closed for years, our leaders in Uganda and South Sudan take it to God. Our small team here in the United States does the same thing. Houses of Prayer went up in Gulu and Juba before the offices, the schools, the radio station, or the training centers, because that is the order the work has always run in.
Carole Ward puts it plainly: “Prayer is not optional but necessary if you want to live. That is how we treat prayer and the Word of God here. It is not a choice for us and should not be one for you.” She says it another way too: if there is no prayer movement, there will never be a missionary movement.
When you pray with us, you join that. God moves at the voices of His own sheep, and yours is one of them.

Jesus named it Himself. We took Him at His word and built the houses of prayer first.
What we ask you to pray for
Six specific battles, one Kingdom outcome.
Prayer becomes more tangible when the place, people, and need have a name.
- 01 Uganda. Pray for the PBS graduates traveling to plant in Karamoja.
- 02 Uganda. Pray for Houses of Prayer, pastors, teachers, and families serving their communities.
- 03 South Sudan. Pray for the Juba team as they enter cattle-camp regions long closed to the Gospel.
- 04 South Sudan. Pray for peace, healing, and endurance for local leaders serving through hardship.
- 05 Chad. Pray for protection and open doors. Pray specifically and frequently.
- 06 Chad. Pray for Scripture, discipleship, and wise field-led ministry to reach each community.

Houses of Prayer
Where every Favor work begins.
Our Houses of Prayer in Gulu, Uganda, and in Juba, South Sudan were our first operational centers, before offices, schools, radio, or leadership training facilities. Prayer always comes first and then everything else follows.
Our House of Prayer ministry teams do so much, from leading morning devotions and noon-hour prayers every weekday to all-night prayer events. They also launch local and rural outreaches and ministries on the streets, in hospitals, and in prisons. They provide a 24/7 prayer covering for new believers, organize pastors’ fellowships and national prayer gatherings, and coordinate local crusades.
Through these activities and more, our HOP teams serve to bring unity in the community and amongst church and government leaders. Hundreds of believers from communities near and far come to hear from God. Miracles and answers to prayer are a daily occurrence. Many people discover Jesus’ love for the first time in these houses of prayer and from the outreaches that they operate.
