What a vision trip is

A vision trip is not a tour and not voluntourism. You travel with a small team and walk the actual work: the schools, the crusades, the Houses of Prayer, the villages, with the indigenous leaders who run them.

A day with the team

What a day can hold.

Every trip is planned with you, so no two are identical. A typical day moves like this.

    Prayer before anything.

    The day begins the way every Favor day begins: in prayer and morning devotions with the team. Prayer is not a warm-up here; it is the work the rest of the day flows from.

    The work itself.

    Portable Bible Schools, the primary schools, and whichever ministries are running that week where you are. You sit where the training happens and watch leaders being formed.

    Into the villages.

    Time in the villages with the local church: walking, listening, and praying with the people the work serves, at the wells, the learning centers, and the homes the Gospel has reached.

    Evenings can end at an open-air crusade, where whole communities gather at dusk to hear the Gospel preached in their own language.

Hundreds gather at dusk to hear the Gospel preached in their own language. On a trip you stand in the middle of it.

Crusades have marked Favor’s work from the beginning: led by indigenous evangelists, preached in the languages of the people, and attended by more than a million across the years of the work.

Education is one of Favor’s four pillars: Village Learning Centers, the primary and secondary schools, and the Leadership Training Institute. On a trip you sit in the classrooms and meet the teachers who run them.

Clean water from a borehole Favor helped fund, often the first the village has ever had.

Wells come as part of the sustainability projects that help move a whole village off relief. You meet the village that gathers around it, and the local church at the center of it.

What does a trip cost?

Cost depends on the destination, the length, and the size of your team, so it is worked out with you when the trip is planned. The US team can also talk through fundraising with you.

Where will I stay and what will I eat?

Arrangements depend on the field you visit. Lodging and meals are organized with the team before you travel, and you will know exactly what to expect before you commit.

Is it safe to go?

You travel with Favor’s field leadership, who live and serve in these nations year-round. Current conditions on the ground are part of the planning conversation for every trip.

What about passports, visas, and vaccinations?

Requirements depend on the destination nation. The US team walks you through every document and health requirement during planning.

Who can go?

Small teams: pastors and church leaders, longtime partners, and everyday believers. If you are unsure whether you fit, send a note and ask.
